The JPMorgan Chase Open has hosted some of the most memorable and historical matches in the 34-year history of the popular southern California WTA Tour stop. Most recently, Kim Clijsters’ 2003 championship earned her the WTA’s number one ranking for the first time in her career. Held for the second consecutive year at The Home Depot Center, the WTA Tour Tier II event offers prize money of $635,000 to the 48-player singles draw and 16 team doubles draw with a $97,000 first place singles prize.

The tournament champions’ list includes Clijsters, Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport, Monica Seles, Steffi Graf, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean King.
