Tennis Masters Canada is a 64 singles and 24 doubles draw, ATP Masters Series event, offering $2.45 million in prize money. Owned and operated by Tennis Canada, a non-profit national sport association, all profits generated from the Tennis Masters Canada are reinvested in the development of tennis across Canada. Since its inception in 1892 the event has achieved world-class acclaim, consistently featuring the top 65 ranked men in the world and is the Tour's third longest running tournament behind Wimbledon and the US Open. By moving to Rexall Centre, a new $35 million stadium modeled after the U.S. complex in Key Biscayne, the tournament anticipates 160,000 spectators.

Former champions include Andre Agassi, Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Ivan Lendl, Rod Laver, Patrick Rafter and defending champion Andy Roddick.
