Lindsay Davenport continued her lead in the US Open Series Bonus Challenge standings with her title run at the JPMorgan Chase Open in Carson, Calif., and Andy Roddick jumped into second place in the men's standings after successfully defending his RCA Championship in Indianapolis following the second week of the inaugural US Open Series.

Davenport defeated Serena Williams, 6-1, 6-3, in the final of the JPMorgan Chase Open for her second consecutive US Open Series win after last week's championship at the Bank of the West Classic. Serena Williams, as runner-up in her US Open Series debut, jumped to third in the overall standings behind Davenport and Venus Williams, who retired in her semifinal against Davenport Saturday with a sprained right wrist in a rematch of last weekend's final in Stanford.

Roddick defeated Nicolas Kiefer, 6-2, 6-3, to move ahead of Tommy Haas who won the Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles last Sunday. Kiefer is the only men's player to earn points in each of the first two US Open Series tournaments as the runner up in Indianapolis this week and finalist last week falling to Haas.
