CINCINNATI (AP) - Andy Murray's gold medal is back home on a cabinet somewhere. He hasn't even had time to pick an appropriate spot for the grandest prize of his career.
His more immediate challenge is getting back in form for the U.S. Open.
Murray left his native Britain after only one day of limited celebration after beating Roger Federer for the gold medal in London. The Scot arrived in Toronto and had to drop out of the Rogers Cup on Thursday because of a sore left knee.
Murray hopes to play in the Western & Southern Open in suburban Cincinnati this week. He's had a couple of days to let his body heal and rest up from the drain of the Olympics.
The tournament opened Sunday with James Blake facing Kevin Anderson.
